Breda Barst 2026 — Free pop festival in Valkenberg Park

A festival for everyone

Breda Barst has been running since 1994 and has grown into one of the most beloved city festivals in the Netherlands. The festival runs on around 250 volunteers and deliberately positions itself as an open and accessible event. No fences, no expensive tickets — just walk into the park and enjoy. Pop, rock, metal, punk, dance, hip-hop and even theatre: the mix is broad and the programming surprisingly varied.

Besides the music stages, the site also features a lively market, local food stalls and activities for children under the name Mini Barst. There is always something to discover, even if you are not there for the headliners.

Line-up 2026

The first names for 2026 have been announced. On Friday 4 September, the bill includes Marathon, Jet van der Steen (3FM Talent) and De Nachtwacht. In the alternative Spaanse Kraag tent, RONKER and L.A. Sagne will perform. On Saturday 5 September, Jungle by Night closes the festival in style, with Heath, ISE and Terzij de Horde earlier in the day. More names will be announced in the coming weeks.

Previous editions have featured acts such as Selah Sue, S10, My Baby, Hardwell, Racoon, Navarone and Extince — proof that Breda Barst attracts both emerging talent and established names.

Location and practical info

The festival takes place in Valkenberg Park and the nearby pop venue Mezz, right in the centre of Breda. The park is within walking distance of the train station — get off at Breda station and walk 300 metres towards the city centre.
